The Apartment is right in the heart of the village with the mountains directly behind. The summer flora and fauna and sunshine make for a relaxing time

As an all-season resort, Thollon has as much to offer when the snow is long gone.  Apart from the alpine fresh air and stunning views from the apartment and the variety of bars and restaurants in the village, there is plenty of activities available.

Beyond the village are many other Alpine villages such as St Paul Chablais which has a wonderful market on Sundays, Bernex which has a lovely lake and activities around it and with Lac Leman only a 15 minute drive away there is something for everyone

Walking - Mountain walking at all levels. Gentle strolls in the village, a 4 hour round trip to the top of Les Mémises for the view, or down to the Lake shore and back for tea.

The cable car (Télécabine) can be used in the summer to take you from the village into the mountains. (Open June-Aug everyday. September weekends only).  There are also walks organised from and by the tourist office so visit there for more information

Mountain Biking - There is plenty of scope in the extensive area for mountain biking with 120kmsof trails though the national park.  Bikes can be hired from Méda Sport in the village (www.medsport.com)

Paragliding - Flying from this area you see the most spectacular views over Lake Geneva and into Switzerland. A great place to come and try this amazing sport and the landing point is right outside the apartment so you can take the cable car up and parachute right back to the apartment.  Contact the Tourist Information Office for more details on this or visit (www.takamaka.fr) for prices.

River Rafting/Canyoning - Professionally guided rides down the rapids of the rive Dranse near Morzine or Chatel.  Visit (www.aquarafting.com) for details.

Do not forget to visit the Thollon Les Mémises official tourism website (www.thollonlesmemises.com) or Tourist Information Office (see picture on right) when you are there as there are many different activities available to you.  There are usually weekly free tours of the local cheese maker and local winery/vineyard in Marin as well as glass art in Evian which are all arranged by the tourist office, as well as walks, fishing trips to the top lake in the mountains.
